New 8 storey commercial office building over the existing Hanover Square Tube Station:
- Levels 1–5 brick faced precast units
- Levels 6–8 in Portland stone faced precast units
Rogers Clarke Lander were once again involved early in the design stage. We proposed an innovative re-panelisation combining spandrels and mullions into punch window units utilizing hidden vertical joints to the mullion sections which maintained the Architects visual intent and reduced the number of precast units by over 50%. Additionally, the brick faced units had the glazing pre-installed at Grants factory, greatly reducing the time on site to achieve a weather tight façade which resulted in early release of Levels 1-5 to follow-on trades. and provided significant time and cost savings for the Client.
